You just can’t avoid decorative elements – simple uni-coloured leotards
belong to the past (to the deep regret of parents suffering from the
“Who has the nicest one?” competition sizzling already in small sport
clubs among the fashion-addicted small girls).
The decoration must be applied without impeding subtle and precise movements
of the gymnasts. Especially, this requirement has to be considered by using
rhinestones and sequined elements.
Having several hundreds of rhinestones (colour table) on one apparel is not an exception, but more and more the general case. The rhinestones (Swarovski) contribute mainly to the overall cost of a suit (price list, Swarovski STRASS). But they are making just the difference – the resulting sparkling of the apparels in the spotlights or even under dimmed conditions by capturing and amplifying every photon whirring around cannot be obtained by other means. To choose first quality rhinestones only is essential in order to avoid disappointments due to loss of brilliance of cheap, but low quality rhinestones after some time.
At the elite level the fabrics are painted
with special dyes allowing for almost
any desired effect, and massively accentuated with thousands of rhinestones. To
ensure the quality of the skilled hand-made paintings even after some washing events
dedicated procedures are required beside the usage of special fabric dyes. In addition,
these applications should remain elastic. By the way, there are rumours that often the
process of washing is assessed as to be to risky for the sophisticated high-standard
leotards used in the world championships and therefore simply declined.
Despite there fragile composition the apparels should survive under harsh conditions
(think about synchronised swimming or the steady contact with different instruments
and with the carpet). It is just sport, and the athletes have, sometimes unfortunately,
other things to worry about during a competition than to treat their suits with care.
Modern sports suits tend to be very tight-fitting (even football players tried
to wear tight shirts and shorts but were stopped by the football association).
Broadly accepted and even required elsewhere, such apparels have to meet high
standards with respect to flexibility and elasticity. We are talking here about
exceptional stretchability not only in one direction but in all.

Fabrics which look at a first glance very favourable may include dyastuffs
and various additives causing allergic dermatitis. To avoid this, we are served
by European, certified suppliers.

Lycra® is a registered trademark. In fact, it is a
synthetic fibre (segmented
polyurethane) and belongs to the group of elastomer. These fibres are used
together with other synthetic fibres such as polyamide (20% lycra / 80% polyamide)
to produce the highly elastic fabrics we used to call simply Lycra.
When the sound of classical music arises to accompany
a performance of rhythmic gymnastics, for example, one would
never expect to see the gymnast to be dressed in a wild, african style
'leopard' apparel. This would surely hurt the overall impression.
According to your choice of music, we are proposing you various designs.
Drafted using crayons and felt-tip pens, these design outlines are arranged
together with pieces of the
fabrics
we are intending to apply. In addition, samples of
applications
are also provided if desired.
By the way, the designs will be kept within the previously agreed budget.
And of course, your creative ideas and imagination are highly welcome and
appreciated.

An individual pattern for sewing will be prepared based on your data and finally
the apparel itself.
Of course, a direct try-on would be favourable to correct small
inaccuracies, but often the fitting is quite satisfying without one.
Note: If a correction would be required and is caused
due to the fabrication (and not owing to mistakes during sizing), we take
over the postal charges for one way and back.

Sizing
Obtain the measures according to the instructions. Please be careful – in case of
misunderstanding contact us for clarification in order to avoid wrong initial data.
You can use the given tables where the different measures are explained and indicated
in the drawings. Send us the data via mail, fax or email.
Design Proposal
According to your ideas a design proposal will be developed. It will be send to you
together with samples of fabrics and decoration, as well as with the overall price
kept within the previously indicated budget. In addition, you obtain a confirmation
of the foreseen deadline.
Before sending out the proposal, a design-protective charge of 25 Euro has to be
transferred. This charge will be fully considered in case of an order, i.e.
reducing the final costs of the appointed apparel by this amount.
Note: A design developed just for you will not be used by us,
neither by fabrication of other apparels nor by publication on the website for a
time period of 12 months.
Your Order
Now there is still time to discuss the proposal and to make changes. Imagine your
daughter in the designed apparel und please contact me with your suggestions and
desired corrections.
Please confirm the order with a letter, fax or email. If the expenses do not exceed
300 Euro no advancement is required.
Manufactoring
You receive a message and a final bill from us, usually by email, when your apparel has
been finished. A photo of the apparel will be attached. Promptly after the money have
been transferred, the apparal will be send out to you by using an insured shipment.
Note: If a correction would be required and is caused due to the
fabrication (and not owing to mistakes during sizing), we take over the postal charges
for one way and back.

Please consider in your time schedule that the manufacturing of individual
made-to-measure apparels is quite time consuming. Orders given just before an upcoming
competition might be declined due to time problems or work overload. In addition, the
inventory of ready-made apparels is quite limited.
