Correct Sizing

Accurate sizing is required in order to obtain satisfying, tight-fitting results. Please do not add any tolerances and keep the measuring tape firm, but not overstress it. Use a belt (or just an elastic strap) around the waist as an additional tool and take an upright posture.

Please hold the tape always straight, don't bend or twirl it. Have a look at the pictures below where the different measurements are illustrated.

1. Neck

Measure around the base of the neck.

2. Bust

Keep the tape around the largest bust extent, under the arms and over the bladebones on the back.

3. Bust Depth

Measure from the highest position of the shoulder (base of the neck) down to the breast tip.

4. Front Length

Measure from the highest position of the shoulder (base of the neck), over the breast tip down to the lower edge of the waist belt.

5. Bust Width

Measure straight and horizontally from one of the front alar fold to the other alar fold at the front.

6. Front Length (Centre)

Measure from the neck pit down to the lower edge of the waist belt.

7. Back Length (Centre)

Measure from the first cervical (it sticks out when bending the head forward) over the middle of the back down to the lower edge of the waist belt.

8. Shoulder Height

Measure from the middle of the back, starting from the lower edge of the waist belt, diagonal over the back up to the sleeve head (small protruding bone at the end of the shoulder).

9. Back Width

Measure the maximum width over the bladebones.

10. Arm Depth from behind

Measure from the first cervical (it sticks out when bending the head forward) over the middle of the back down to horizontal connection at axle height.

11. Shoulder Width

Measure from the base of the neck to the sleeve head (small protruding bone at the end of the shoulder).

12. Arm Length

Measure with slightly angled arm from the sleeve head over the elbow down to the wrist joint bone.

13. Upper Arm

Measure the maximum perimeter at the strongest position of the upper arm.

14. Wrist

Measure the perimeter of the wrist.

15. Waist

Measure the perimeter of the waist above the waist belt.

16. Hips

Measure the perimeter around the hips over the hip bones.

17. Bottom

Measure the maximum perimeter around the bottom. Please record also the distance to the lower edge of the waist belt.

18. Bottom Seam

Measure from the lower edge of the waist belt at the back, through the legs, and up to the lower edge of the waist belt at the front.

19. Thigh

Measure the perimeter of one leg at the position of the elastic strap at the pants.

20. Belly Height

Measure from the lower edge of the waist belt down to the seat surface.

21. Skirt Length

Measure from the lower edge of the waist belt down to the desired skirt length - at the front and at the back.

22. Torso

Measure from the centre of one shoulder, down the front, through the crotch, and up the back to the starting point.
